The Expedition 9x is specifically designed to accommodate a pro DSLR with a long telephoto lens attached, such as a 600mm, plus additional lenses, camera bodies, flashes and accessories.

A divider system accommodates telephoto lenses of different lengths and diameters. The top section supports the camera and cinches tightly to the narrow portion of the lens where it attaches to the camera. The bottom section includes two foam-padded, plasticreinforced vertical dividers and one adjustable horizontal divider to fit varying length lenses.

Dual "wing" pockets with water-resistant zippers organize and provide quick access to important accessories. They feature the patented Memory & Battery Management System™, using red flags to identify available memory cards and batteries from ones that are used up. A tripod can be securely held between these pockets with the QuickClip™ tripod attachment system while the lower plastic-reinforced Tripod Foot Pocket holds two tripod legs secure.

The harness system features Dual-Density Comfort Pads that provide maximum carrying comfort while Air Flow Channels help keep you cool and dry during extended use. The pack is also equipped with a foam-padded waist belt for added comfort. Cinch straps on the shoulder harness and an expandable sternum strap allow finer adjustments for maximum comfort.

The new Carry-On Compression System makes the pack carry-on compatible for most US & Canadian domestic flights. This requires the removal of the camera body from the long telephoto lens.
